Do I need to install an app?
No. Your loved ones scan the QR and share directly from their browser. No app, no account, no password.
Does Fotelya replace a photobooth?
Not exactly, and that's intentional. A photobooth is a kiosk installed in one spot, a queue, and printed photos. Fotelya works the opposite way: the QR is on every table, everyone photographs from their phone, and everything gathers in one place. You get the evening as seen by your guests, including moments when no one would have queued. If printed photos matter to you, the two complement each other perfectly. What's the difference between the free offer and the paid offers?
The free offer is perfect for discovery: shared album (up to ~400 photos), written guestbook, photo challenges, with a visible Fotelya watermark, a preview reduced to 1280 px wide and 30-day storage. Your originals are not lost: they unlock when you move to a paid plan. Paid offers remove the watermark and add guest videos, the live wall on a large screen (polaroid, cinematic or mosaic), a ZIP album and storage for 6 months (Event) to 12 months (Premium). Premium adds a voice guestbook and white-labeling (your logo, without Fotelya mention).
Is there a limit to photos, videos or guests?
On paid offers, guests are unlimited and there is no reasonable limit to the number of photos and videos: everyone shares as much as they like, in original quality. The free offer remains ideal for small groups.
Can I customize the appearance (template, colors, texts)?
Yes, and it's one of our strengths. You choose a template designed for your type of event (wedding, birthday, baby shower, New Year's Eve, club party…), then adjust everything in the studio: colors, fonts, welcome and thank-you messages. A live preview shows exactly what your guests will see, on the gallery, poster, live wall and table cards. Premium and PRO plans add white-labeling: your logo, without Fotelya mention.
How does the live wall on a large screen work?
You open a simple link on the screen already present (TV, projector). Your guests' photos appear in real time in an elegant setting matching your template, and between shares, a waiting screen showcases your names, date and QR code. Nothing to install.
Are printed materials provided?
Yes. Your organizer space generates a QR poster and table cards matching your template, ready to print: place them at the entrance and on the tables, your guests scan and share in seconds.
Can a guest delete a photo they uploaded?
Yes. Everyone can remove their own uploads directly from the gallery. And you keep full control as the organizer: you can remove any content at any time.
How long are my memories stored?
30 days with the free offer, 6 months with Event, 12 months with Premium. You receive an email one week before expiration to download everything, then the album is permanently deleted. It's a deliberate choice: your memories don't stay online forever, which is better for your privacy and more sustainable for the planet. Don't confuse this with the upload window: guests stop adding photos about 14 days after the event starts, but the album remains viewable and downloadable until deletion.
How long can my guests send photos?
Your guests send photos around your event, not indefinitely. Once the party truly starts, you have 14 days to collect everything: latecomers have plenty of time to add their photos, then uploads close. If you set a date, they open 14 days before D-day, perfect for testing and early arrivals. After closing, the gallery remains viewable and downloadable until the end of its storage period.
Can I reuse my event for multiple events?
Each album corresponds to one event: once uploads are closed, they don't reopen, and clearing the gallery or changing the date doesn't reset the count. For a new event, you create a new album in two minutes. Do you organize events regularly (venue, DJ, wedding planner)? The PRO plan unlocks unlimited events, each with its own QR and white-labeling.
Not all my guests speak French. Is that a problem?
Not at all. The guest experience automatically displays in the language of each phone, among 17 languages. Room materials (poster, live wall) remain in the language of your event.
Can the gallery be made even more private?
Yes. In private mode, each guest only sees their own uploads: you alone discover the full album. Ideal for a surprise or a photo guestbook.
How to prevent a guest from sharing inappropriate content?
Smart and sovereign moderation (AI hosted in the European Union) automatically analyzes photos, videos and messages, and filters out clearly offensive content, without ever blocking normal memories (a beach photo or a kiss pass without issue). You choose its level (disabled, standard or strict) and you always have the final say: any masked content restores in one click, and you can also moderate everything manually.
What if the network is weak at the venue?
Photos save locally and send automatically when the connection returns. Nothing is lost, even in a barn or a basement room.
Are our photos and videos private?
Yes. Access only via your QR or link + a PIN, non-public gallery, hosted in the European Union, encrypted, GDPR compliant. Automatic deletion after the event.
Who owns the photos?
You and your guests. 100% of your rights, zero resale, zero ads, zero third-party AI training.
How do you retrieve everything, and what happens after the event?
You download the entire album in one click, in original quality (ZIP file). After the retention period of your plan, the album is automatically deleted: remember to save your memories before then.
For what types of moments?
All of them: weddings, daytime or evening birthdays, christenings, trips with friends, corporate events, festivals, clubs. With or without a screen.
How does payment work?
You create your album and only pay when you're ready, without a credit card to test. Payment is securely handled by Paddle, which also manages VAT worldwide.
